Meaning & Tradition
The gourd is one of the Taoist Eight Treasures, long associated with Laozi and the immortal Li Tieguai and a symbol of fortune and longevity. Its narrow mouth and full body were believed to gather blessings. Clouds, the mounts of immortals in Taoist imagery, stand for good fortune and rising success.
