The pathway

Begins at Guan Chong (TE1) beside the ring fingernail, crosses the back of the hand to Yang Chi (TE4) on the back of the wrist, rises between the two forearm bones (through Wai Guan, TE5) and up the center of the outer upper arm to the shoulder, then travels up the side of the neck, behind and over the ear, and ends at Si Zhu Kong (TE23) at the outer tip of the eyebrow.

Its hour on the meridian clock

9–11 p.m. (Hai hour) · Hexagram Kun (The Receptive). All six lines are yin—the hour of pure yin. Soak your feet, dim the lights, and get ready for sleep.
